I have seen the fairies and the elves dancing under a full moon up by the lake.  Blissful music making friendships and love. These vibrations our Mother Earth loves.  I have experienced real magic here at Cascada Verde and I thank all who have been a part of that magic.  Harmonious living between human beings in nature is simultaneously very possible and very enjoyable and very necessary to our survival.  Many blessing to everyone who comes here from a fellow pilgrim of light.

Cascada Verde Costa Rica

Uvita

Cascada Verde is located between Manuel Antonio and the Osa Peninsula, just beyond the tiny Pacific Coast of Playa Uvita de Osa.  Playa Uvita is a typical farmers and fishers village at the South Pacific coast of Costa Rica and its called the door to the Osa Peninsula.

Uvita offers beautiful topical beaches, rainforest, fishing, surfing, waterfalls, wandering rivers, and so much more. All year round mild tropical weather makes Uvita a wonderful place to live or visit.

The town of Uvita has restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, a bank, a pharmacy, an Internet-Café, a police station, information center, and other local needs making necessities easy to meet. Also available is a hospital near by for any health needs. There is no malaria in this area.

Restaurants and bars offer great seafood, local cuisine, and fun entertainment. Uvita has a variety of places to dine and enjoy the local atmosphere. There is plenty to offer in choices of where to eat in Uvita.

Driving time from San Jose is about 5 hours, but there are other options on how to get to Uvita. You may choose to fly to a little south of Uvita from San Jose, or take a shuttle bus that will have a driver take you to your destination, or take the local public bus.

If you arrive by bus, get off the bus at the Cooperativa Uvita bus stop, the main Uvita stop. The bus driver will be able to direct you. Cross the road and follow the map. It is a 20 minute walk up the hill. Take your time. It is worth the walk.

Written directions are:  Go 800m through the town of Uvita towards the mountains.  Turn left on the 3rd road in from the main street (just past the cemetery.)  Go up hill another 400m until you see the Cascada Verde sign on the left (just past the blue water tank.)  This road dead-ends at our property.

There is a sign on the side of the road below the house marking the entrance path. If you arrive by car you may park it in the area just above and to the left of the entrance.

Another option is getting a taxi from the Soda Naranjita located next to the bus stop.  Just ask for Cascada Verde or Patricio's.  The ride should cost no more than $3.
