How is the climate in Costa-Rica?
Costa Rica is a tropical country with a dry season
and a wet season. The dry season is from December
to May. Evenings are cooler than most days and we
do get a Pacific Ocean breeze. Days are hot
and evenings are cooler.
What are the Visa requirements for Costa
Rica?
Visitors from the most western countries can stay
90 days without applying for a visa. After that
it is possible to get a visa extension. To be certain
of your Visa status, contact the Costa Rican Consulate
or Embassy in your home country.
What is the currency?
In Costa Rica the currency is the Colon - the conversion
rate is around 500 colones to one US dollar. Bring
only US dollars (cash or traveler's cheques) - other
currencies are difficult to change and get very
poor rates. There are some banking machines
in major tourist destination that are connected
to the international networks, and credit cards
are accepted in
major stores and hotels.
